Village Outreach.
The team went to the Turkana Tribe outside of Isiolo Town and held
preaching services in the villages with hundreds receiving Christ. One
Pastor shared the gospel with the witchdoctor and He was saved.
Everywhere they went they gave out Reinhard Bonnke’s booklet the Secret
of the Power of the Blood of Jesus. They also went to the hospital and
everyone was prayed for and many were saved.
Street and door to door ministry teams.
Our mission team of 25 fiery Kenya Missionaries went door-to-door
preaching the gospel and praying for the sick in the homes. One lady was
so sick and bedridden but after Catherine prayed for her she was
instantly healed and saved and came to the tent that night to testify.
Children's Meetings
Our children’s meeting with German Missionary Ditte Thye had more than
1000 children attend and the power of the presence of the Lord was so
strong as she ministered. The ladies meeting with Shireen saw ladies
challenged and stirred up to preach as ladies. She shared her testimony
of how God took her from England to Africa as a young woman to meet her
husband and how together they gave their lives for Africa to be saved.
Isiolo Report 8th January - 20th January 2002
The Word of God, says, "WITH God all things are possible", that is,
possible to US. It says" WITH God", not TO God. All things are possible
when we work with Him and carry out
His will. He does nothing in this world without us. It is co-operative
labour.
When the Lord was on earth the methods He used to reach the multitudes
were preaching, teaching and healing the sick. Those methods are still
the methods we use today because Jesus is the same yesterday today and
forever.
In the history of RFM we have never seen so many miracles. Because of
what the Lord was doing people were coming from 500 km away at the
Ethiopia border for prayer because they heard that Jesus was healing the
sick in Isiolo. A lady with a goitre was completely healed. A medical
nurse in the local hospital told her to lay her hand on the goitre when
Brother Roger said the prayer for the sick. She did that and when he
looked again it had gone and he rushed her to the platform to testify.
The wife of the Anglican Priest was healed of a longstanding ladies
problem. Many demons came out of people with loud screams. As the
anointing fell for healing many demons manifested but the Pastors in
charge of deliverance commanded them to go and they were set free. It
was so wonderful to hear the testimony of one boy who had been in the
children’s meeting who had been bound by a demon spirit and was throwing
him uncontrollably around on the floor. After several moments of casting
this demon out he was free and also healed of asthma at the same time.
When we saw him in the night meeting he was a completely different
looking child. Jesus said we shall cast out demons and that is what we
did. Glory to God.
There was a wonderful unity among the Pastors in Isiolo. Over 25
churches stood together with us from all different denominations, the
Pentecostals, Anglicans, Methodist and Africa Inland Churches. They
testified that history was being made in Isiolo and the unity was being
strengthened. We are so grateful for these men of God, we could not hold
these meetings without them. They helped with every detail, down to
electricity connections, transport and food etc and every night took up
a love offering for us for the Mission to Sudan.
Not only were the Christian Leaders supportive but also so were the
Moslem Leaders. On the first day the Somali Chief of the town came to
the tent to meet us. I asked him what we could pray for in Isiolo and he
said “Peace”. We told him Jesus was the Prince of Peace and he listened
carefully. Many Moslems came to the meetings. They took off their hats
and scarves and sat listening every night. One distinguished family
arrived in a car with a sick father and ask Roger to pray for him. On
the last day one of the Pastors told us that one of the most fundamental
Moslem Leaders in the town was sitting quietly in the tent. Roger was
preaching about the power of the blood of Jesus and no matter what sin
you have committed the blood of Jesus washes it away. They told us he
had tears in his eyes, I believe with all my heart that the Holy Spirit
drew him to the tent to sow the message of the love of God in his heart.
